TRIPADVISOR REVIEWS

  •   My sister-in-law and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a mini-safari! Our lodging was better than the 3 AirBNB's where we stayed for 6 other nights... read more of our trip in Nairobi and Mombasa! The attention to detail was GREAT! We were treated to fabulous meals, including choices for breakfast, great coffee, very affordable adult beverages. But the room was awesome! Great water pressure, great hot water, SO clean, plenty of toilet paper, and BEAUTIFUL!!!! The beds were so comfortable. The staff was so attentive. They walked us to/from our room/tent when it was dark, always asked us if we wanted more food (wow!), and were so sweet! Joyce was there overseeing the construction of a swimming pool! We did not have to worry about bugs or being too cold or too hot. It was just great. At one dinner, we were even treated to a traditional Masai dance (there was a CUTE couple there in their 70's (?) who were on their honeymoon)! Do not look any further for somewhere to stay. If you are booking with a safari tour company, ask them if you are staying here. (BTW, we booked with Peter Weru for our safari and were SO pleased with these accommodations.) LOVE LOVE LOVE! Oh, I almost forgot....there a fire pit lit at night with benches and you can use the a blanket on your bed to wrap up to walk to dinner if... •   Authentic camping-in the-wild experience with added advantage of having proper washrooms. Could not have asked for a better setting. The tents are placed quite a bit apart from each other... read more giving you the true feel of camping in nowhere. Unfenced, the grounds are protected by Masai warriors who keep vigil and make rounds throughout the night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Special mention to Danson the head concierge who took care of everything with a huge smile making you feel at home. One major plus was that there was no WiFi in the tents giving you the true feeling of cut-off-from civilization. For all your internet needs there is WiFi available in the common area and the Dining area where you can stay as long as you need. The best part is that the lights go out at 11 pm in the night leaving you with a flashlight in case of emergencies and the call of the wild surrounding you. I and my husband stayed up late trying to identify each noise/ sound- there were definitely hyenas and some sort of low grumble of some kind of predator. It was most fun as the wind howling and shaking our tent made us feel like as if we might be under attack. A little bit of imagination can make anything so much fun. Extremely adventurous and highly recommended for people who likes that sort of thing. If you are a foodie who is into trying new stuff, this is also a heaven for you. Kudos to the chef who served us absolutely delicious dishes in every meal we had there. A cute little bar ensured we had good drinks with extremely yummy food. My only suggestion would be to have the name of the dishes displayed in front of the buffet so that we can recommend it to our friends. Overall, an amazing and a must have experience.

  •   We booked this place through Beacon safaris. So, a big thanks to them. After a tiring journey from Naivasha, we reached this place and were pleased at first sight. We... read more were welcomed nicely and were escorted to our tent after lunch. Ours was a triple room(named SIMBA) with a bed for each of us. It was clean, tidy and spacious. Washroom and bathroom were clean and room service was top notch. There was a squeak noise coming from bed which was fixed on the same day I requested. Hot water was provided for drinking. Food was good and vegetarian options were provided too. Milton, Jackson were among the many good people that we met. Room had an excellent view in morning and evening. Wifi was available in the dining area. We really enjoyed bonfire which was lit every night. Someone would be there in the evening to escort us when it was dark. Masai people showcased their traditional dance which was so much fun to witness. They even surprised my wife with a birthday song, dance and a cake. We had a very good chat with the director of the place. We found her to be a good-hearted person. Lots of positive vibes were felt. Overall, we liked the place very much and would definitely recommend it. More

  •   This is everything the other guests are saying. Wonderful rooms, delicious food, a great experience! They set the bar for the rest of our trip and others did not... read more really measure up to the Enkorok standard.

The only thing that I would add is that Enkorok treated our guides with courtesy and respect. The guides were welcome in the dining room and ate what we ate. This may be small, but we loved our guide. Without the guide, we couldn't have gone and I was happy to support a place that appreciated the guides. Enkorok has a great team and knows how to treat everyone!
